Raccoons or their tracks were a common sight on the coast. The Park Rangers all recommend using bear-proof canisters rather than hanging your food as the latter doesn't keep the raccoons out.

We encountered this guy while waiting for the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. I don't think we were the first humans he encountered.A Raccoon foraging for treats in Port Angeles. So cute.
