Caribou Cabin

Our good friend Kathryn came for a visit from Ontario and decided she needed to get on some skis. What she lacks in experience, she makes up for in enthusiasm, so we agreed to take her on a backcountry ski trip. Here she is showing off some of that enthusiasm on the pre-trip xc training expedition.

We chose a suitable location for a beginner and a 6-month old, loaded Cassia up, and headed off.

Simmers carried the baguettes (to go with the cheese fondue, but of course).

Our hut entertainment consisted of this: hand someone a soother, get them to put it in upside down and see if they can flip it right-side-up using only their mouth. Surprisingly difficult. And humourous.

And then we skied some sick lines.

Here's the "hand-cam" shot of Dad skiing down with little C. I think Dad's slightly more excited than Cassia.

Hiya-love the video of cassia backcountry skiing and getting in some fat turns. I never quite got round to doing this with Ewan-got another chance with Emma. Too quickly, they just want to do it themselves!
