Cumberland

We spent a week mountain biking in Cumberland, on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, we took zero pictures of anyone doing any actual mountain biking. Luckily we went with folks that took a few shots and cared to blog about it over at Curmudgeonly Bumbly. As per usual, I took a lot of pictures of my daughter.

On the ferry, wearing her new cool shades.

Dad trying the shades out.

View of the sea and Denman Island, from the lovely Beachouse we stayed at.

Ursi shakin' her finger at me.

Catching some rays on the deck.

Dad is so much fun.

Gazing up in adoration at the lovely Meghan.

Prunes.

From the Archives

My Mom looking very hip, before she had kids.

The ultimate camping vehicle. What really amazes me is that once my sister and I were born, we still all managed to go camping in the Bug, with my Grandmother, and the canoe. Oh and nice Converse sneaks Dad.

Mom and Estelle, up on Mount Seymour

The classic 70's pom-poms. Oh so stylish sister.

Hip urban dad with the pre-curser to the Ergo carrier.

Car seats? Who needs car seats?

 I remember that phone.

Yard Work

Exausaucer + outside + stick + rock = Mom can get half an hour of yard work done!

Very excited about garden tools - a good sign.

Look, ANOTHER stick!!! So many outdoor toys.

And then I discovered that the trailer is the awesomest outdoor playpen ever. Huzzah!

Siblings

We're starting to see some similarities...

Perhaps someone is a wee bit jealous?

We got Nevis about 9 months before Cassia arrived - so he got somewhat used to all of our parental attention being lavished on him. In an attempt to make us realize that he is still cute and worthy of snuggles, he has taken to emulating the other small creature in our house that is monopolizing our attention these days.

Here we have Nevis in the bassinet.

 Nevis in the crib.

On the change table.

 In the baby swing.

 On the baby carrier.

 In the donut.
